Verbs that are used to modify the main verb.

1.     May/Shall – podrías – show probability
Ø  May/Shall we begin?
Ø  Yes, we shall.      No, we shall not.
2.    Will – voy a / vas – determination to do something
Ø  Will they go?
Ø  Yes, they will.     No, they will not.
3.    Would – harías – show willingness
Ø  Would you help?
Ø  Yes, I would.       No, I would not.
4.    Should - debería – recommends
Ø  Should that be here?
Ø  Yes, it should be.   No, it should not.
5.    Could – podría – possibility
Ø  Could they come?
Ø  Yes, they could? No, they could not.
6.    Must – tienes que – shows obligation
Ø  What must we do? We must do this.
7.    Can – puedo – shows permission
Ø  Where can we go at recess?  We can go to the bathroom.
8.    Have – tengo que – something to do
Ø  What have you do? I have done a disaster.
9.    Might – podría ser – shows a probability of something may could happen
Ø  Who might this guy be? He might be a superhero.
10. Be – ser / estar – question and answers among many other uses.
